Nina Ahluwalia –
Registered Social Worker (Psychotherapist)
Nina is committed to supporting adults and couples navigating both planned and unexpected life transitions, approaching each person with curiosity, compassion, and respect for their unique lived experience. Whether you’re facing anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, parenthood, career shifts, or feelings of being stuck or overwhelmed, she sees these moments not just as difficulties—but as meaningful opportunities for growth and change. Nina works with men and women across a range of concerns, including trauma, self-esteem, mood disorders, addiction, emotional regulation, and major life changes, as well as couples seeking to strengthen communication, navigate conflict, or move through separation.
Nina’s approach is collaborative and client-centered—"you are the expert in your own life, and I act as a guide, helping you build insight, develop tools, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence”. Nina draws from a range of evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based practices, and somatic techniques. She also integrates interpersonal, schema, emotionally-focused, and psychodynamic approaches to tailor therapy to your needs, always through a strengths-based and culturally sensitive lens.
Clients often share that through their work together, they develop a deeper understanding of themselves, feel less reactive and more grounded, and gain the confidence to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease. Nina strives to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts and emotions, feel genuinely heard, and begin to shift patterns that no longer serve you. Her goal is to help you reconnect with your inner resilience, build meaningful change, and move toward a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling.
